Start of the project, winter 2007

I drag raced my GSXR1100 regularly between 1996 and 2000 but found it was hard to be competitive on a "road" bike. So I did my last race in the autumn of 2000 and started dreaming of a pure race bike. But due lack of funds and time it was not until the winter of 2006 I started to build my race bike. It started when I got some engine problems with my GSXR and decided it was time for a "new" bike. I bought a 2000 GSX1300R Hayabusa and got the perfect raw material for drag race bike my old gixxer. This is what it looked like before I started to tear it apart.

Then the the disassembly started.

That didn't take long time only a few days. The plan was to turbocharge the engine and lower/stretch the chassis. I hopped to be finished to the first race in the spring of 2007.
